Chocolate Covered Honeycomb 🍫🍯

Prep Time: 20 minutes. Set Time: 2 hours. Serves: 8

Chocolate honeycomb is absolutely delicious because it's got multiple textures and the flavour is like no other chocolate you've ever had before. Firstly there's that crunch, then it just melts in your mouth and you get that amazing chewy caramel flavour with a touch of chocolate.

Growing up, we used to eat a lot of those Cadbury 'Crunchie' bars and we're so amazed we've been able to create our very own version!

Ingredients:

-200g caster sugar

-4tbsp honey

-2tsp bicarbonate of soda

-100g dark chocolate (you can use milk chocolate if you wish)

Method:

1) Start off by lining a baking tray with greaseproof paper and set aside.

2) Next add in the sugar and honey into a large deep saucepan which is over a low heat. Stir until the sugar grains have melted but make sure that the mixture doesn't bubble.

3) When the sugar has melted, turn up the heat and simmer until you have a caramel colour and then switch off the heat immediately. Next add in the bicarbonate of soda and stir with a wooden spoon as fast as you can until the mixture starts to foam and the bicarbonate of soda has disappeared.

4) Then pour out onto the baking tray (be careful as it will be hot). Leave to set for at least 1 1/2 hours. After 1 1/2 hours check to see if it's cooled and then break into pieces and dip into melted chocolate- leave to set for another 30 minutes and then enjoy! 😊

Show us the honey!! 🍯😊😉
