Cinnamon & Apple Quinoa Bowl 🍎🥣

Looking for a Christmassy and winter warming healthy breakfast bowl, packed full of protein? Well look no further...this comforting flavourful breakfast bowl is so healthy and so filling it will keep you cosy during these cold days and keep you fuller for longer. Now that it's also the Christmas season we've included those delicious spices into into it so it almost tastes like a dessert but with this one you don't have to feel guilty when eating it!

 

Ingredients Needed:

 

-180ml milk (you can use any milk you wish)
-1 apple, sliced/diced (leave 1/4 just for the topping if you wish)
-60g quinoa
-Small pinch of salt
-¼ tsp ground cinnamon
-½ tsp honey/ golden syrup. 
-Small handful of sliced almonds/chopped walnuts

 

Method: 

 

1. Place the milk, apple, quinoa, cinnamon and salt into a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, then cover and simmer on very low heat until the milk has been absorbed. This should take around 10-12 minutes. 

2. Then let it stand for 5 minutes.
3. Finally top with the remaining apple, your choice of nuts and drizzle over some honey/syrup.
Fuelling you up for the day ahead 😉 
Not to brag but this is 'quinoa' a big deal 😋😉
