Egg Nog šš

Egg nog is a lovely creamy Christmassy drink that is perfect for those of you who are looking for something more indulgent and are not too concerned about the amount of calories it has! Letās face it you might as well treat yourself at Christmas time with this tasty festive drink and you never know you may even like it better than any other festive drinks youāve had before! Sweet, creamy and comforting... What else could you want? š

Ingredients:
-45g golden caster sugar
-4 free range eggs yolks
-350g condensed milk
-100ml rum, brandy or whisky- which ever you prefer
-1 vanilla pod -Ground cinnamon/nutmeg for dusting

Method:

1. Start off adding the sugar in a saucepan and add in approximately 70ml of water. Simmer until the sugar has dissolved, then set aside to cool.
2. Next whisk the eggs until smooth and creamy then add in the condensed milk, the seeds from the vanilla pod, alcohol of your choice and the sugar syrup from earlier. You can also add in a dash of spice such as cinnamon/nutmeg here if you wish. Mix everything until it has all combined well.
3. Next pour into a large jug/bottle and leave to set in the fridge for at least 2 hours before serving.
5. Serve within 24 hours as it will be fresh and best to drink within a day. Simply pour over ice if you like or dust the top with more cinnamon/nutmeg and serve with a cinnamon stick!
