Making Your Own Flatbread 🍞

Prep Time: 5 minutes. Cook Time: 5 minutes. Makes: 2

 

Making your own flat bread doesn’t have to take very long at all, sometimes when you think of bread you may think you have to take out hours but with this one you only need around 15 minutes from start to finish! So if you’re looking for a quick lunch that’s tasty and very versatile give these flat breads a go today...

 

Ingredients:

1. 125g self-raising flour

2. 5 tbsp natural yogurt

3. 1 tsp olive oil

4. Pinch of salt

 

Method:

1) Start off by mixing all of the ingredients in a large bowl to form a dough.

2) Next half the dough and roll out each one on a clean surface, dusted with flour until 2/1cm thick.

3) When your flat breads are rolled out, heat a teaspoon of olive oil on a large frying pan on medium heat and cook on the frying pan for 2 minutes or until golden brown. Repeat for the other side of the flat bread too.

As these flat breads are so versatile you can serve with many things! Garlic butter with fresh parsley is the best! However if you want a more filling lunch we recommend you can have them with chopped tomatoes and mozzarella (you can melt the mozzarella a little under the grill for a couple minutes when flat on the bread if you wish! Or have as a flat bread wrap with halloumi and grilled peppers or even falafels! The list is endless...
